Call for contributions for the ERDKUNDE special issue on:
Geomorphology and environmental change

In the wake of the climate change and its wide-ranging complex effects on geomorphic and human systems, a better and detailed understanding of the different involved components is essential. This special issue in ERDKUNDE calls for contributions improving our understanding of past, current and future impacts of geomorphological processes in the context of climate and global change with a focus on environmental change and the interconnections between natural and societal systems. Contributions from the entire spectrum of geomorphology and neighboring disciplines are welcome. Early career researchers are highly encouraged to submit their work.

Topics covered include (but are not limited to):

- fluvial geomorphology

- periglacial geomorphology

- mass movements

- biogeomorphology

- natural hazards and risk

- environmental and climate change

- remote sensing applications

Since foundation by Carl Troll in 1947, 'ERDKUNDE – Archive for Scientific Geography' has established as a successful international journal of geography. ERDKUNDE publishes scientific articles covering the whole range of physical and human geography. All manuscripts are subject to a peer-review procedure prior to publication, including an early online publication. High quality cartography and regular large sized supplements are prominent features of ERDKUNDE, as well as standard colored figures.
